BACKGROUND
During the August 14, 2024, Regular City Council meeting, a motion was made to introduce the first reading of the Ordinance, including amendments proposed by the City Council, to amend the Westminster Municipal Code related to permit requirements for the parking or recreational vehicles as follows:
• The term of the RV permit is for 24 hours only. Each resident may be issued no more than twelve (12) non-consecutive temporary parking permits in any calendar year per residential address, with at least one day in between each of the twelve (12) non-consecutive permits.
• A permit may not be issued to an RV with any outstanding parking citations.
• The RV must be parked in front of the resident’s address from which the loading or unloading will occur, or within 500-feet from where the resident resides.
The motion carried, 3-2, by the following roll call vote: AYES: C. Nguyen, K. Ho, C. Manzo; NOES: A. Phan West, N. Nguyen; ABSENT: None; ABSTAIN: None.
Per Government Code Sections 36931-36947, the Ordinance is being presented for second reading and adoption. If the City Council adopts Ordinance No. 2613 the City Clerk will certify its passage. The Ordinance will become effective 30 days following its certification.
