BACKGROUND
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has been delivering contracted fire services to the City of Westminster since 1995. The 2024 Year End Review serves as an important resource for both the council and residents, offering a detailed overview of OCFA operations. This review includes valuable data and statistics related to community education, fire and life safety inspections, and support for community development. Additionally, it covers advancements in new equipment and emerging technologies. A thorough analysis of emergency response activities is provided, along with highlights of significant incidents throughout the year.
In light of recent events throughout Southern California, there will be a brief report provided on fire preparedness during the meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact.
LEGAL REVIEW
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed as to form.
CONCLUSION
The Orange County Fire Authority will provide a copy of the review to the City Clerk’s Office for uploading and distributing to community members via the city’s website.
