BACKGROUND

At the September 10, 2025 City Council meeting, staff presented the Existing Conditions Site Map for Blakey Park, prepared by MIG, a landscape architecture firm. The Council voted to receive and file the Blakey Park update and directed staff to provide a cost estimate to evaluate the existing Blakey Park Midway City Woman’s Club building, potential expansion of Blakey Park Midway City Woman’s Club building, and potential construction of a new building in the Blakey Park parking lot.

Following Council direction, staff developed a cost estimate in collaboration with MIG. The initial Blakey Park Site Assessment Map (Attachment 1) was used as the basis for developing the cost estimate (Attachment 2). The estimated time for completion is 1-2 months.
