Recommendation
Appoint a Vice Mayor for a one-year term.

BACKGROUND
According to Chapter 2.04 (CITY COUNCIL) of Title 2 (ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL) of the Westminster Municipal Code (“WMC”), the Vice Mayor serves a period of one year. The City Council is requested to consider the position at this time and make an appointment.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no additional compensation provided when appointed as Vice Mayor.
LEGAL REVIEW
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed as to form.
CONCLUSION
Following the appointment, staff will make the appropriate updates.
