Recommendation
Adopt a Resolution entitled, “A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE MEETING SCHEDULE FOR THE WESTMINSTER YOUTH COMMITTEE.”

BACKGROUND
In March 2013, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4436, establishing the meeting date and time for the Youth Committee. Meetings would be held during the school year, September through June, on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m.
The Youth Committee has identified that the scheduled meeting day and time conflicts with school release times and activities, thus preventing consistent attendance and timely arrival. Therefore, staff is recommending the following changes:
• Committee meetings will be held monthly during the school year, September through June.
Staff will work with committee members to identify a date and time that works best with their schedules.

LEGAL REVIEW
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed as to form.
CONCLUSION
This amendment to the Youth Committee schedule comes after the closure of the 2024-2025 term. The new term will start in September 2025.
