RECOMMENDED ACTION

Recommendation

Approve a First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. to provide as-needed Building Division support services in Fiscal Year 26/27, in an amount not to exceed $100,000.

end

BACKGROUND

On July 1, 2025, the City Manager approved a Professional Services Agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. to provide as-needed Building Division support services, in an amount not-to-exceed $100,000.

Building consultants provide supplemental support to the Building Division by performing plan check and inspection services on an as-needed basis. They are utilized to maintain service levels during periods of high workload, staff shortages, or when City staff are on vacation or otherwise unavailable. Consultants help ensure timely plan review, inspection scheduling, and continuity of operations when demand exceeds the capacity of in-house staff.

The First Amendment will not change the scope of services; it will increase the amount of the contract by an additional $100,000 and extend the term to June 30, 2027. The total not-to-exceed amount of the contract will be $200,000.

FISCAL IMPACT

Sufficient funds to execute this amendment in Fiscal Year 2026-2027 are available in Building - Contractual account 62050-43090.
