BACKGROUND

Westminster Adoption Group and Services (WAGS) has served as the City’s animal shelter provider since 2011 and has been an active part of the local business community for over 20 years.

Westminster Animal Control Officers currently provide patrol services for both the Cities of Westminster and Stanton. The City of Stanton has a contract with the Westminster Police Department for animal control and shelter services. WAGS, located approximately one mile from the Westminster Police Department, offers a significant operational advantage by allowing Animal Control Officers to maximize patrol time in both cities while efficiently completing administrative tasks at the police station.

Michelle Russillo, CEO and President of WAGS, will present an overview of the shelter’s accomplishments and progress over the past six months. Below is a summary of key highlights and metrics reported by the WAGS team.
